Raymond, in an exciting addition to this year's Walter Cronkite Faith & Freedom Award Gala, we will be joined by Judith Light! Ms. Light is an award-winning actress, currently starring in Ugly Betty. She is an outspoken advocate for equality, and producer and star of Save Me, a 2007 Sundance Film Festival selection.

One week from today, Ms. Light will join Mr. Walter Cronkite and Rev. Dr. C. Welton Gaddy, along with the Board of Directors and staff of the Interfaith Alliance Foundation, to honor the work of Walter Cronkite Faith & Freedom Award honorees Asra Nomani, Judy Shepard and Rabbi Irwin Kula. They are three of the most important figures working towards equality, liberty and the true inter-religious community today.

Will you join us at the Rainbow Room on Tuesday, November 11th?

Ms. Nomani led the Pearl Project, bringing together students at Georgetown University to explore the tough questions surrounding the murder of journalist Daniel Pearl. She is the author of Standing Alone: An American Woman's Struggle for the Soul of Islam.

Mrs. Shepard lost her son, Matthew Shepard, in a murder motivated by anti-gay hate. Mrs. Shepard is an international spokeswoman, activist and executive director of the Matthew Shepard Foundation, working to pass national hate crimes legislation.

Rabbi Kula, as President of CLAL: The National Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership, is at the forefront of the discussion of religious expression in this country. He is the author of Yearnings: Embracing the Sacred Messiness of Life and is a regular guest on The Today Show.

We hope you will join with us to celebrate the accomplishments of our honorees. If you can't be with us in New York, please consider a special donation to the Interfaith Alliance Foundation.
